ARCHITECTURAL F O L L Y

What is an architectural folly? In architecture, a folly is a building usually designed and constructed strictly for aesthetic pleasure. Follies have no function and were first constructed to put accents into parks and estate landscapes. Architectural follies historically were built in various architectural styles. Some follies provide a view of the landscape or a place to rest within a landscape.
